EXPERIENCE: John Spear has been a full time, licensed real estate sales person sonce 1974, and has held a Real Estate Broker's license since 1978. During that time, John has worked as a full-time sales person, managed real estate operations for other people, and owned his own real estate brokerage.
EDUCATION: John Spear received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington. He pursued graduate work at UCLA and UCBerkeley. John has taught real estate practice and real estate finance at the college level. John also teaches new agent orientation for one of the largest associations of Realtors in the nation (Pacific West Assoc. of Realtors).

President of the Greater Long Beach Assoc. of Realtors in 1990. Realtor of the Year in 1991. John was a director of the California Assoc. of Realtors from 1986-1996, and of the National Assoc. of Realtors in 1990.
PERSONAL INFORMATION:
John Spear Loves golf, gourmet cooking and travel. He has had a radio show on cooking. John is an opera fanatic, and serves on the speakers bureau of Los Angeles Opera and is on the board of directors of Los Angeles Opera League. He has served on the board of directors of Long Beach Opera. From 1990-96 he served as a director of Communities in Schools, a business-based drop-out prevention program in Long Beach.
